Memories of You

This poem is for my grandpa
I remember you stealing
fries off my plate and the way
I would grin into your eyes
and the way we use to on the porch during those bad summer stormes
we use to watch the lightning crash down
from the sky above
I also remember what we use
to talk about while watching
this incredible sight
we talked about what you wanted
for dinner that night
and how you would probally have
to go fill the car up in the morning
you have traveled the world,grandpa
and seen pain like no other
but you have ignored your own
you was always there for me
even though I wasn't always
there for you
you watched me when I was young
and quided me through life
as a friend
your love has spread through our
family and your own
and as I write this for you
I am reminded
